Last week Gawker pointed out that something about the New York Times was sounding awfully familiar, as in, haven't we read this before? We had the exact same experience this Sunday upon opening the Style section and reading the article about how Manhattan is currently being overrun by foreigners taking advantage of the low dollar who treat the city like their own private "bargain bin," or was it, "Candyland." Hmmm, hadn't we also heard this before? Turns out we had — Slate ran an almost identic

While the media obsesses over the daily movements in national tracking polls, few seem to be reporting on a more important trend: John McCain's very poor performance in the Electoral College -- the only metric that matters. The average of the independent analyses shows McCain currently trailing Obama by 100 electoral votes. Where's that story?
